Suggestion: Bookmarks for forum postings?
-
What do you think of a bookmarking mechanism for forum posts?
I often read a post and I know I have something to say but it needs some more work to be done and I do not have the time while I'm reading that. At the moment it's hard to come back to that respective thread. So, I would find a bookmarking mechanism handy, ideally with the ability to add a short comment. That would prevent forgetting about the post.
Subscription to notifies is not a real good alternative, because on gets lost over the pure amount of subscriptions. Also, the bookmark can be deleted when it's not needed anymore, whereas one usually wants to follow the discussion.

Why not browser bookmarks?

Because they are not available on my other computers. I work on my desktop and the laptop simultaneously.

It will be avail later. Somewhere here Marius wrote about favorites mechanism.

I also miss something like this. I also use more than 1 computer (and mobile devices) to access the devnet.
In the beginning I thought about using the rating system (what would, at least in theory, make people rate only posts they consider interesting), but now I don't consider it a good idea anymore.

I added "QTWEBSITE-126":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE-126 for this.

Thanks Volker, we are indeed looking into a bookmark feature that would enable a bookmark listing in your personal bar (the column on the right with your avatar on top).

That would be really great! Thanks!
