Sencha Animator looks nice and useful, but I'm not sure that would be good to incorporate inside QtCreator. Maybe some standalone app.

infoctopus, i'm talking about something similar inside qml visual editor ?
it already supports wysiwyg state transitions, so pending thing is a wysiwyg animation editor with a timeline
