Whats the frequency of sending email updates to subscribed threads?
If you've clicked on the link in the first email, the thread seems to be marked as "read". So, if someone posts another reply two minutes later you get another notification. The more often you read the threads on DevNet the more often you get notifications :-)
I almost check the thread as soon as I get updates and I am online. So that should not be the problem.

Do you have an example thread where you get that much notifications (and, if available, the date/time of the notification mails)? That would help to investigate further.
If you open one of the delayed e-mails in gmail and click on the option in this image:
and send me the header by "e-mail":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/email/2 I can have a look.
I have emailed you.

I will look for it next time and update.
Are you a Troll? I thought all trolls have that troll logo on their profile.

Oh no, unfortunately I'm not a Troll, but read regularly on this forum for some time now.
I know the effect of getting notified often - emails for this thread pop in minute wise :-)
What I noticed:
If a thread is busy, and I read the answers shortly after the notification arrives, I get a new notification immediately after someone replies again. -

But I still feel for some threads I am missing the updates. I will confirm that and update it.
So by this post I just wanted to confirm that the updates are sent as soon as some one posts and ideally there should be no delay.

Ah. Ok. I never had the feeling I miss some update. Maybe some of the mails were quarantined in some virus oder SPAM checker?

I will verify it and update. As of now everything seems to be working fine.

Update:
For "this":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/2099/ post, I didn't receive any update email for the post by xsacha. I saw it when I logged in and replied back after 40 mins of the posting.

Indeed, it is real-time here. Although email systems can sometimes be delayed (you see this warning often enough on websites giving you confirmation emails).
My GMail updates with all these tamhanna replies ;)
