The restriction should be added to the description at "Tags, and how to use them":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/whatistags. The sentence beginning with You can easily delete tags... is not only confusing for any new contributor, but also wrong.

Will tags automatically be merged this way? Can you add something to editing (and merging) too.

Or, could it become (wiki) editable somehow?
