    See this "screenshot":http://share.ovi.com/media/chetankjain.QtDevnet/chetankjain.10035

I search for content tagged with "best practice". The results numbering is wrong, the results are shown twice and there are some "no results" also listed

It looks like that before the JavaScript makes the tabs, so something went wrong on the page load.

The repeated results is due to the multiple tabs a result can appear under.

ah now retried this search and it looks better, but one funny behavior ...

Note the results on "All sections", now go to the "Forums" section ... items 3 and 4 interchange :)

donno if you can repeat this :p

          A sorting randomness there yep.

I'll combine the "best practice x 4" and "best practices x 3" tags btw.

yes, noted those 2 tags and wanted to ask if someone should combine them :)
so the sorting randomness will get a fix or no harm done ? problem could be with a larger result set

I klicked on the Tag Language:es on a spanish page and entered this list:
              http://developer.qt.nokia.com/search/tag/language:es

I tried to search for Language:es by typing it into the input line and I got no results.

So it seems not only the space char that brings the tag search into trouble.

We should flip the "case sensitive -> yes/no"-switch, indeed.

When you the link for a tag you get the list of all pages marked with it.
And for some reason the tag itself is displayed as text with a uppercase initial.
                  That's an invitation for copy&paste, I think.

mariusg, is there some feature for automerging tags? based on heuristics or dictionary-based? or All merging for now is done manually?

On the bug tracker I've crated an umbrella issue that deals with the next iteration of Tag. Have a look here: http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE-135

There I call it "Support synonyms/aliases", feel free to elaborate.

A fix for this went live yesterday.

                            Great! Both problems solved :)

                            • tag search is now case insensitive
                            • tags are no more uppercased, when displayed on top the list
