I am using a signature (thru my profile) for my posts, I find it wastes a lot of vertical space. Can that be trimmed to keep the page length down.

We could at least make the sigs follow the text better in very short posts, I'm looking into it.

Like. Saves space without cramming everything too closely together.

Ok, commit 7b56edd4b8e4e4d8d488b07cae4f591f29600eda sets it to 80px. Will be live on next roll-out.

20px less space than before, but don't think space is all bad, we can't have it too compact either.
