    Hi,

As far as I know gmail.com is an openID provider - but it's not possible to login into this website with gmail openID. Maybe a bug?

    Thank you!

I'm using a gmail openID without any trouble at all.

If you provide a more detailed description of your experience we shall have a look. If you add it here "http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE-55":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTWEBSITE-55 - it would be great. Thanks!

I tried it myself and it works flawlessly. It just doesn't if you only type in your email address. You have to use a URL like http://www.google.com/profiles/yourusername

Can you try that and see if it works?

Ok, I try using URL https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id and it seems to work as I'm forwarded to a google login page. But after logging in I'm forwarded to a nokia page saying

              "Notice
The verified openid does not exist in our system"

Ah, you have to bind your open id to your account "here":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/openID

Ah, so it's not possible to auto-sign-up via OpenID. You should add a hint on that ;-)

                  Thank you!

They're working on the auto-sign-up thingy. See "this thread":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/699/

google actually have a much nicer identity api that supports major players (yahoo/aol/hotmail) here:
                      http://code.google.com/apis/identitytoolkit/
you basically give google an email or a domain and google figures out the openid url by itself
it can also help you verify the response.
