Forum feature request: Some way to show appreciation

More often than not, when you post about a problem you have on the forums, you'll get good replies and useful advice.
I would love to have a way to show appreciation to those that take the time to answer me.
A simple "Thanks!" reply doesn't work, because the message is too short and cannot be posted. Also, it sends notifications to everybody, which isn't strictly necessary.
Would it be possible to add something like "rate this up" to every reply in a forum post?

Agreed, that would be useful.

I believe it would also serve as a possible future means to find excellent replies. It could go into the ranking of search results.

We have them in "QnA Testing Area":http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/17260/ test dont know when these will be in place. Its more than a year now !
