Rename Qt 5 download links?
-
I have added a "sticky post":http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/23152/ for the time being.
Please check it out and add missing or wrong information.
I would assume that the sticky switch of the post can be removed some time early next year when the webpage is updated accordingly.
-
Looks complete and correct; thanks for that
-
http://qt-project.org/downloads has been updated .. please check and remove the sticky post if needed.

Hey Sergio,
are these changes in response to https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTWEBSITE-494 ?
-
Hi Lukas,
sort of .. I was not aware of that task. it seems like we still need to say something about the source packages.
other than that (even though is not perfect) .. does it look better ?
-
It does.
The task is more of a collection of 'pitfalls' which have come up here at the forums.
-
I have removed the sticky mark on the post in question. The download page seems to reflect the same as the summary in that post.
Is there a proposed date for an SDK release available?
With SDK I mean either Qt5+creator+new_MinGW or Qt4+creator+new_MinGW!

Qt5+Creator+(hopefully)MinGW = Qt 5.0.1 = SDK ~ end of this month (Jan 2013)

http://origin.releases.qt-project.org/digia/5.0.1/latest/ (sort of release candidates, does not mean that they will be released) -

The only issue from my side would be that there is possibly still an up-to-date SDK with Qt4 missing. There are always novice coming up. They have book written for Qt4 and search for an SDK. I think they might be still considerably confused when they have to start out with a Qt5 SDK. -
as far as I understand (so unofficial) .. in the future you should be able to develop using Qt 5 SDK for both Qt 5 and Qt 4, to help you start with Qt (using the Qt4 books) as well as to port your apss from Qt4 to Qt5.
also as far as I understand (unofficial again) .. the old Qt 4 SDK is a Nokia SDK .. so not part of the Qt Project, which means that the Qt Project can't release a new version of it
