INOVA Geophysical are looking for an experienced Linux Qt C++ developer to join the team working in our Edinburgh office. This is an exciting new project working on real-time land seismic acquisition systems for oil and gas exploration; with particular emphasis on the user interface.

Position Summary
A software engineer is required to join an established development team to work on real-time land seismic acquisition systems for oil and gas exploration. Candidates with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar or related field and with a background in C++ and Linux programming are required. This is a position with a strong focus on real-time data flows and UI framework development.Job Tasks and Responsibilities
The position involves the design and development of reliable, field-robust and user-friendly software to agreed plans, timescales and quality. The position may require occasional world-wide travel, including time on remote field crews.Minimum Essential Requirements
We require the successful candidate to be self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic. The candidate must have a wide range of skill sets, be a team player and a good communicator, both written and spoken.- Education: Computer Science or related degree from a recognised establishment.
- Experience: 2+ years of practical experience in C++ programming.

- Desirable skills: Qt Framework; C# and/or Mono; Publish/Subscribe Middleware; SVN; GIS; Linux build environments & package management
