well, so far the only solution is 'find another job', and I doubt that will change.
Although since open governance, I can continue working on QSensors and QSensorGestures in my free time. Which apparently I will have plenty of

Best of luck mate.

I know that might be a delicate subject, but I would actually love to see some fundraising or kickstarting possibility itegrated into the Qt Project to support worthy projects. The simplest form of contribution is still money.[/quote]
A big +1 from me on that :) It would be great to see this kind of option opening, and I would be happy to pay (privately. Company I work for has commercial Qt anyway).

No, but if Digia wanted to buy the devs there, do you think Nokia would have made us redundant?

There is an update post from Tuukka: "link":http://195.197.180.217/en/Blogs/Qt-blog/Tuukka-Turunen/Dates/2012/9/Qt-acquisition-proceeding-as-planned/.

Good news, thanks!

Aloha! Apologies for the radio silence from Digia's side. We were finalizing the last bits and pieces of the acquisition of Qt from Nokia. The deal is now closed - YAY! Our goal is to advance Qt and make it the best framework out there. We can't do this alone and look forward to working with the Qt ecosystem. Let's do this together!
As the craziness of the transition settles and we finish combing through the hundreds of open items on our to-do lists, we are planning the next step forth for the future of Qt.
We want to continue the conversation with you, so please continue engaging via the forums on this site.
First order of the day: Let's get Qt 5 out the door successfully. Let's do it together!
As we gather our forces, we will be communicating and engaging more and more on this site. Bear with us as we regroup!
Smiles from the Digia Qt team

Hi Katherine!
Thanks a lot for the encouraging words. I'm pretty sure the Qt community gains some more momentum now and we alltogether move forward our favorite framework.
Some questions that arise right now regarding the community:
- what about the certification program - will it be continued?
- will the Qt Ambassador program be continued?
-
Hi Volker!
Yep - we are working on adopting the Qt Certification program. All the pieces are being put in place for that. As for the Qt Ambassador Program, we are exploring the best way to relaunch this program. We have to rebuild it as the program itself and the Projects were not part of the acquisition for legal reasons. More info on this will come soon!

Nice to see you back in the forum Katherine. I'm hopping Digia will pickup Qt Ambassadors again, it's always nice to receive a Ambassador T-shirt once in a while :) Already send a contact to http://qt.digia.com/qtambassador/ . In the following weeks I will be presenting a 1 hour seminar in the electronic club of University of Algarve, about Qt. With or without the Ambassador program count on me to speak about Qt.

Nice to be back in the forums! :) Thanks all for your support with Qt. We are collecting all your feedback and various emails on all your topics of concern. We will get back to you - please be patient with us. We are running in all directions, but are working on bringing it all in and focusing :)
