    I came across an interesting behaviour in the preview functionality, but I assume it would be the same in the post.

    Moving the double quotes the "space" forward does not interpret the link correctly.

    !http://db.tt/ajSMhOXH(preview link1)!

    and now correctly placed double quotes

    !http://db.tt/h3emXtHB(preview link2)!

    This is probably more a "feature" than a bug.

      Yeah, textile expects that there is no space before that ". If it didn't it could be a problem for some other edge case formatting. Thanks for detailed issue description!
