Q&A section thumbs
-
I’ve been too lazy to do anything here lately, but...
Please do something to those thumbs. As they are, there are no way to see what you’ve voted already, so you’ll end up unvoting your own posts... :)

Hi Smar :)
Do you mean as in change the thumb gfx based on state or some other aspects of that little widget?
-
Ah yeah, I guess I wasn’t enough clear of my thoughts...
Different kind of icon, different coloring or anything to show that you have voted this post. After all, you can’t vote but once and it seems that another try just undos your vote. If you don’t remember original vote count, you might end up thinking you actually successfully voted, in addition of in first place “needing” to press the vote button again for same post.

I see what you mean, I think we have a bug in the Q&A now though - the thumb is supposed to turn full green once you have voted. We will figure something out.
-
Browsers I’ve tested with are Opera 11.61 and Opera 12.00, if that helps.

Maybe some "You've voted this up" caption would help too.
Or disable a click on the full green thumb once you've voted, and add a link "recall vote" to undo the action?

For me just clicking the thumb to undo a vote is enough (I’m used to SO system after all), but whichever is visually more appealing, I guess, should be used.

(Ugh, post reply didn’t submit the post... I wonder what I messed up... Rewriting)
Little update: I do see old cast votes. I don’t know if you have made any updates, but it looks like reloading the page makes these green thumbs appear.
