    Hi,

I want to implement the following fonctionnality : run my application by double-clicking on the associated file. For the moment, i can run it in command line by transmitting the file name as argument and it work correctly.

    Any idea please ?

    Thanks

I have moved this from the General to the Brainstorm forum, as it's not Qt related.

Qt itself does not provide any means for this.

For Windows, "Gerolf":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/member/38 has written a "wiki article":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/wiki/Assigning_a_file_type_to_an_Application_on_Windows that describes what to do.

The associated "forum thread":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/4810/ lists some solutions for other operating systems.

        Hi,
Thanks for replying. I didn't know that it's not Qt related as i hasn't any idea how to do it. I just started reading the articles you forwarded me to, and it seems to be what i'm looking for !

No problem, sometimes it's not clear where to post in the first place. We move stuff to the right forum then, nothing you must be worried about too much.

If you've come to a solution, feel free to report back here. We'll be glad to hear that we could be of help.
