Screen transition measuring

How do we measure a duration of screen or scene transition from one screen to another screen ? Solutions for measurement on both desktop and on a touch display target are welcome?

To be more specific regarding the query, A QML application has 10 scenes or screens, on user action of a touch or a mouse click event there is a screen transition to another screen.
How do we measure the screen transition duration between the movement from the user touch (or mouse) release on the existing displayed screen to the rendering (displaying) of the another screen ?
