QT Creator keeps losing my mac desktop configuration

For the 3rd time in a week, I have started QT Creator to find that it no longer has the mac desktop kit available. I have had to completely uninstall and reinstall to get it back. Has this happened to anyone else?

On what version of macOS ?
Did you do any update on your system ?
Modify the configuration file of Qt Creator ?
Install new applications on your system before it started ?

MacOS Mojave 10.14.3
Yes, there was a system update, but it was between occurances.
No.
I updated Visual Studio for Mac before this started happening.

I would check the content of the Qt Creator configuration files and keep a copy so you can diff it the next time it happens.
