qt-creator 4.8 has many problems.....

The upper pic is recorded at the version 4.5.1 of qt-creator(Yes, I have gived up the 4.8.0....)
At the version 4.8.0, when you type the&as the upper pic,TreeWidgetwill not appear automatically, and so is qt-creator 4.7.2.- time delay
I don't know whether someone has the same feeling with me, 4.8.0 has a bit time-delay.
For example, at the version 4.8.0, [Tools] -> [Options...], and then please switch to the first tab [Kits], you will find the interface is blocking....( about 2 seconds in my PC )
- code highlight disappear
This phenomenon has a little randomness... But it happened to me several times. Sorry for that I can't find the specific steps to let you repeat the phenomenon. I remembered, I switched to the
*.h/*.cppback and forth, and edit codes, and ctrl + s,,,,,, suddenly, the highlight disappear...... puzzlingPS: My pc is windows 10, 4 cores, Intel Core i7-7700HQ, 8G RAM.
The upper 3 problems surely happen to me these days at the version 4.8.0, BUT, these problems all are NOT existed at the version 4.5.1, I use 4.5.1 about 6 months,,,,

I guess most of your problems in 4.7/4.8.come from the new Clang Code Model, which is activated by default.
You can try to disable it in Help > About Plugins > Clang Code Model and see if that helps.
Qt has to stay free or it will die.

@Limer so you say that problem 1 disappears if you disable Clang, but the other two still exist?

@aha_1980 is right. I faced the same issue before. Did you restart the Qt-creator after uncheck? Can you add a snap of your Help -> About Plugins?
@Maaz-Momin Today, I reinstalled qt 5.12.0(include qt-creator 4.8.0), after disable plugin Clang Code Model and restart the qt-creator, problem 1 is ok, others' test need time to try...
