Solved How to update MaintenanceTool
-
On Windows 10 I have Qt installation with Qt 5.7.0 libraries installed in 2016 I guess. When I run MaintenanceTool and Add or remove omponents or Update components I get message that my MaintenanceTool appears to be older than 3.0.2 and that I should update it. I read this post https://stackoverflow.com/questions/50001183/how-to-update-qt-maintenance-tool but I don't see where I can update the tool. List of installed components displays but there is no MaintenanceTool update option.
Is it possible to download new version of maintenance tool manually frrom somewhere?

@MartinD
Hi
I would grab a new online installer and just run it over.
https://www.qt.io/download -
Unfortunately online installer can't accept old installation path. It seems I have to do fresh installation with online installer.

Oh, yes , sorry i forgot. I just renamed old folder to qtold and ran installer.
when i saw all was good, i deleted old folder. -
Yes, I did it this way. Hopefully I will be able to migrate some old stuff to my new installation when it installs.

@MartinD
Yes, you should. Most settings for Creator is not stored there and
often there is nothing missing. ( with fresh install)
But it depends if you copied stuff there manually :) -
I think my fresh Qt installation is ready. Thanks, it was not such a pain as I expected.
