qToBigEndian() with float/double

  • qToBigEndian(T src, uchar * dest) only supports T as an integer type (does anyone know why?).

    I'm trying to use the function but with a float and a double. What is the proper way to do this?

    My thought is to use a union to store it in its respective type and then pass that to qToBigEndian() but I was wondering if there's a better approach.

    Thanks
