Unsolved Issues with touchscreen on a raspberry pi.
-
I am having issues getting Qt 5.11.1 to work with an SPI LCD panel (2.8" Adafruit pitft) on a Raspberry Pi 3. I have built Qt on the pi and qmlscene displays nicely, but I cannot get the touch screen to work with Qt. I've tried both the input and tslib based plugins and neither work.
ts_test works fine and reports proper coordinates.
Any ideas?

Hi and welcome to devnet,
Might be a silly question but did you check that the plugins were properly loaded ?
Did you check that you have proper access to the device ? -
I should've been more clear. I am getting touch events from the touch screen (inside qmlscene), but the coordinates are completely messed up. I've tried various rotation combinations, etc. and I can't get them to work.

For tslib, did you run a calibration before using it ?

I did. It calibrated fine, and ts_test works great.

@bigjake I haven't worked with Qt yet (waiting for my license to start) but I have worked with the Raspberry Pi 3B + 2.8" capacitive/resistive touchscreens as sold by Adafruit. Properly adjusting orientation for both display/touch at the same time for both console-based and X windows—based apps is rather difficult.
Here is a conversation I just had with Ada herself on the subject, which might be useful.
