QML Slider is jumping to maximum value when handle is clicked.

hi guys,

i am using qt quick controls 1.4 .
most of the cases the slider works correctly and smoothly.
but for few cases as soon as i press handle, the handle jumps to its maximum value. but it goes smoothly with mouse wheel scrolling though.
if i increase the slider operating space with same range of values, it starts working well.

its really hard for me to investigate why its happening.
please let me know how to resolve this.
