Solved MSVC 2017 and Qt x86
-
I saw that Qt 5.11.1 only supports MSVC 2017 for x64, do I have to compile Qt manually to get a x86 version? If yes, where can I find an updated tutorial for doing that?

Hi
Yes. They no longer offer 32 bit version. ( huge work, declining downloads)https://doc.qt.io/Qt-5/windows-building.html
make sure to check out
https://doc.qt.io/Qt-5/windows-requirements.htmlbefore stating.
If you get error and change parameters. Make sure to start over cleanly. ( nuke the folder)
also, use a pc with many cores as possible or it take ages.
ps. as noted, u might want to use jom
http://wiki.qt.io/Jom -
Alternatively, you could download the MSVC 2015 x86 version and use your MSVC 2017 compiler with it.

@Mr-Gisa said in MSVC 2017 and Qt x86:
@JKSH MSVC 2017 can compile for MSVC 2015? (holly cow) Didn't know that.
Yes, MSVC now has backwards compatibility
