Solved What's the best approach for this kind of layout/design?
-
Hi,
I'm new to Qt and gone through document and various tutorials but I'm missing the experience to get the big picture. I'm using QT Creator on Windows and plan to use Python for the backend. As an exercise to gain experience and also this is close to what I want to start with design wise, I wish something like this
https://coinmarketcap.com/First question is what sort of structure/hierarchy allows for tab buttons "Cryptocurrencies" and Watchlist, and also allows to switch tables in the middle? Here's an example hierarchy that is most probably wrong....
QWidget/QGridLayout/???/QTreeView
Is there a ??? or do i do this another way?Hope the question makes sense. Thanks for your help.

@TonyB123 Ouch bitcoin got wrecked, lol. Off topic I know, but it was 20K at Christmas!
On to the actual question...
QTabWidget --> QVBoxLayout --> QTreeView or QTreeWidget (I use view all the time for the model)
Add the treeview to the vboxlayout and the vboxlayout to the tabwidget tab. If you need help with the code just post back and we'll help you out. :)
Good luck learning Qt, it's super fun!
