Changing size of MessageDialog popup

What determines the size of a QML MessageDialog popup and how do I change it?

The default is apparently a fixed size that cannot be changed, at least not by user at time of use. Further, while the text area for detailedText does provide a vertical scrollbar when appropriate, it apparently doesn't provide a horizontal scrollbar.

When the detail text is most appropriately viewed as fixed-width, non-wrappable text, I would like to accomplish one of the following (in priority order).

set the width pro grammatically according to text width
allow the user to change the width as desired
provide a horizontal scrollbar

Any pointers to info on how to accomplish this?
