what is q_d?

in qt sources i've seen the (i guess) macro Q_D.

i have heard about the private classes and the q and d pointers.
but what exactly does Q_D do?

Hi
its part of pimpl pattern design to hide implementation.
It basically give access to private classes and is a design for handling it via a
pointer (type)
