Output image and table to a file

Hi All
I'd like to export images and tables to a readable text file. I don't mean "save data" but rather produce something like you would from office, nice layout, images etc. Can anyone advise what functions I'd use to do this? Thanks.

Aren't you describing the ODF format for spreadsheet ?

Hmm, You cant really have images in plain text file.
You save in rich text/html and display in browser or TextEdit.

However, maybe you can describe a bit more what the goal is ?
If idea is any kind of nice output, you could use a report generator
like https://sourceforge.net/projects/qtrpt/
But you talk about "export" so i wonder what you want to export for ?
What application or use ?
