Unsolved About build of Mac OS
-
Hi,
The following error appears from build on Mac OS. Please tell me the solution.
It comes out with a build right after launching a new project./bin/sh: -c: line 0: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `''
/bin/sh: -c: line 1: syntax error: unexpected end of file
make: *** [main.o] Error 2
Qt : 5.6.2
Mac OS : Sierra 10.12.6 -
@m.kawakami It looks like you used a ` instead of a ' in your file.

Thank you for reply.
I do not touch anything in creating a new project, but do you know which file is wrong? -
@m.kawakami It doesn't show in what you posted.
If you didn't modify anything it could be something else. If you can post a bit more information and the full build log I can probably help you more.

Hi,
To add to @ambershark, are you building with Qt Creator ? Directly on the command line ?
How did you install Qt in the first place ? -
@SGaist Oh I completely forgot about Qt Creator until you mentioned this. Then I remembered a thread a while back where someone had this same problem because his kits were messed up.
Good catch!
Here's the post that should solve your issue @m-kawakami:

@SGaist Sorry for the late reply. I am building with QtCreator. I downloaded the installer from url below and carried it out.

@m.kawakami It sounds like your kits are not configured properly. Check your settings for your kits in qt creator you will more than likely see that you have no kits or the one you are using has a red exclamation next to it.
