I have a problem with the qt installation

I am using beagleboneblack

I install qt creator

after launching the qtcreator command, it shows the error display could not connect...

wht is the solution for these..

Adding some extra info:
Error is "QXcbConnection: Could not connect to display"
running Creator from shell.
OS is Ubuntu linux.
We tried
qtcreator -noload Welcome -noload QmlDesigner -noload QmlProfile

also to export DISPLAY=:0

So looking for suggestions/hints/stuff to try.

Are you running Qt Creator on the BBB ?

If so, how did you install it ?

In any case, what version of Ubuntu are you running ?
