Unsolved Qt on XFCE
-
Hi,
I am trying to build an executable using QT on xfce and I get the following error:Cannot start the terminal emulator "xterm, change the setting in the Environment options"
Any idea as to what I am missing?
I tried this but had no luck.
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=175581It seems I need to change this from: Options/Environment/System/Terminal
The problem is I don't know what should go there. -
Hi and welcome to devnet,
Might be a silly question but do you have xterm installed on your system ?

After you have answered @SGaist's question:-
"trying to build an executable using QT" What, where & how are you doing this? You are running some command to compile your executable? You are doing that from some terminal prompt? Or you are doing it from Qt Creator? You do mean you get an error at some stage while trying to build/make the executable, not when you try to run/debug it?

If you are sitting in a terminal prompt, what does
echo $TERM
say?
