Qt 5.10.0 - Cmake configuration
I just installed Qt 5.10.0 with MVS2017 and Qt Creator 4.5.0 -beta1 Community.
I get the following compile errors when trying to run any project:
Project ERROR: Cannot run compiler 'cl'. Maybe you forgot to setup the environment?
Error while parsing file C:\Programming\Qt\test1\test1.pro. Giving up.
Any suggestions on how to fix the warnings and to succesfully run a project?
Hi and welcome to devnet,
Did you install Visual Studio 2017 ? It’s not something the installer can do for you as Microsoft doesn’t allow distribution of its tools.
Yes I've used Visual Studio 2017 for a while for my C++ projects.
Does the compiler tab show VS2017 properly ?
What about the Kits tab ?
Thanks for your reply.
As far as I've understood, VS2017 is visualstudioversion 15.0.
That does look good...
Can you check with the current stable version of Qt ?
Thanks for your suggestions.
I tried by re-installing to version 5.9.2. Got the exact same issues, same warnings, only difference was the Qt version.
Gave up trying the MVS2017 Compiler, re-installed again with mingw compiler, and I´m up and running.
