Mingw on Windows 64
Hi you all, Qt comes with Mingw 32bit version and I want to start developing using mingw as the libraries I'm using doesn't support MSVC as well as I wanted, I was wondering, is it a problem to create 32bit application in 64bit operating system and releasing it? Will it have any problem or something like that? When do I have to be worried about architecture? Is it possible to use Mingw64 other than the one that comes with Qt?

No, it is perfectly fine.
"Is it possible to use Mingw64 other than the one that comes with Qt?" - yes, but you will have to build Qt by yourself which isn't exactly an easy task. If you don't really need x64 then just use the provided MinGW.
Are you sure that the libraries likes mingw better?
In my experience , it almost always reverse.
Yes, it's the
mpvlibraries, they are compiled using mingw on windows but there's a way to create a
libfile for using on MSVC but I can't figure it how to use, or I get linking errors or my application crashes, it will only run if I use mingw that comes with Qt that is going to use the dll and not the lib file.
I could fix the errors now the library is working with MSVC.
if possible please post the .pro file on how you linked it for future readers :)
