    Hello Team,

I have following questions related to licensing

    1. Since which version of QT, commercial license is in effect? or regardless of any QT version I use, I should be purchasing a QT commercial license ?

    2. Can I develop a commercial application using QT trial license?

    3. What different types of licenses I need to purchase if
      a) I am developing a commercial application
      b) I am shipping a commercial application ?

I think you should contact qt directly. This forum is more user oriented.

          Hi @vikram007

          1. There has always been a Qt Commercial license. The same rules have applied always, Qt does not retroactively change licenses (that is impossible)
          2. You can start with a trial license. However if you want to sell something after the trial period, you need a valid license, so you need to buy a license.
          3. The same license is used in both cases. The only difference comes if you are shipping an embedded device, then you need an embedded license with distribution rights. The Qt Company Sales can explain that if you are making an embedded device.
