Problem installing Qt

hi, I am using the installer qt-opensource-linux-x64-5.7.0.run and am running it through bash. I get an error " [1697] Warning: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 145 (Unknown), sequence: 169, resource id: 0, major code: 139 (Unknown), minor code: 20 " and then the installer just hangs. Any thoughts or suggestions?

What graphic hardware to you have ?
What drivers for that hardware do you use ?
