Solved Cross compile for windows on mac?
-
In the Golden Days of CodeWarrior, one could compile and link windows binaries on a mac, and debug by launching the exe on a net-connected windows computer, debugging from the mac while executing on windows.
can any of these magical things be done with Qt ?
-
okay so: No cross compiling, but YES remote debugging!

Hi and welcome to devnet,
If you are thinking about Qt Creator then no, it doesn't provide that.
Setting up a cross-toolchain from macOS to Windows is outside of Qt's tooling scope currently. You might be able to achieve something using maybe the MinGW project.
AFAIK, the current trend is to rather use a virtual machine in order to be able to debug natively.

bummer. i'll miss the golden days. okay, thanks.
can Qt do remote debugging? -
Qt is a framework like any other so the correct answer is no. However, Qt Creator can do remote debugging using gdbserver on the target.
