Adding text to installation "Show details" text area (QT Installer)

Is it possible to add text to the installation details text area on the PerformInstallation page?
I found the method appendProgressDetails ( http://doc.qt.io/qtinstallerframework/qinstaller-performinstallationform.html ), but I don't know if and how I can access it within Component.prototype.createOperations. -
