I have an old version of Qt with minGW on my windows 7 machine. I tried to update to the current version and got a message saying here is already a Qt installation choose another directly. I know Qt allows for multiple versions on one computer, I don't have a need for multiple versions.
All I want to do it upgrade it. Do I need to offload the old version forst or is there a way to do this easily and seamlessly.
use the maintenance tool.
placed in root folder of Qt.

to add to mrjj :
when using the maintenance tool you will see the Qt versions installed.
You can uncheck to uninstall the ones you don't want and check the versions you want to install.
