Unsolved Qt Creator: broken touch scrolling
-
Hi!
Where can I put up a humble request to rectify scrolling code windows and other stuff with fingers in Qt Creator on Windows?
Now, attempting to scroll code window results in selecting text, as if it is a mouse dragged around. Selecting text with fingers is impractical anyway, I usually use keyboard for the purpose. Scrolling would be very welcome.
I also discovered that I can scroll code with two-finger pan. It's not as handy, but would have been alright... but it selects text! And not just selects, the text sometimes gets drag-dropped around, which renders this style of scrolling useless too.

Hi and welcome to devnet,
You can check the bug report system to see it it's something known. If not then please open a new report providing as much details about your setup as you can including hardware/drivers.

Thanks for reply. It looks like nothing like that is reported, so I'll try making an issue.

Made QTCREATORBUG-18066.
I don't think I can provide much info about drivers, it appears to be built deeply into Windows itself (it appears as HID touch screen panel in device manager, and clicking "driver info" button displays a pop-up saying something like "this device doesn't need any drivers", whatever that means).
-
That's still a valuable info because it means that the input is directly handled by Windows.

@SGaist OK, added that as comment.

It was already reported as suggestion in 2014
