Applying Stylesheet to QMenuBar does not effect the QActions inside it

can someone tell me how to style my QActions? I know they are not a part of QWidget but there has to be a way to change its style.
I mean if qt lets you change the style of the QMenuBar why wouldn't there be a way to style the QActions inside it?

EDIT: just found this out right as I posted.
anybody wondering I just styled QMenu and it works
