You can find a great tutorial for starting out with QML on the V-Play website: https://v-play.net/doc/vplay-get-started-games/

It will teach you everything from installing Qt Creator to making your first simple UI using QML. This tutorial is tailored for the V-Play engine, but the presented concepts are applicable for standard Qt apps as well!

Also, if you want to develop mobile apps for iOS and Android with native UI, you might want to have a look this.
