Is it correct: creating ApplicationWindow inside Item?

Hi, I would like to ask if I can safely create an ApplicationWindow object inside an Item object.
The reason for this is I want to delay the creation of main window until initialization has been completed and the window is actually necessary. For example if another instance of my app has been notified successfully I will not show the window but exit the application.
Currently it looks like everything is ok (on linux desktop) but I'd like to be sure that I don't encounter any problems later on some other platforms e.g. Android. The documentation for ApplicationWindow doesn't say it's unsupported.
