QTcreator crashes when Design tab selected

I'm using Debian Linux. I make select Quick application with a kit labeled GCC. When the project is created There is a qml, but no ui.qml is found.
This message shows up when Design is selected "The executable of the QML emulation layer (QML Puppet) may not be responding. Switching to another kit might help." -
Which Qt version and Qt Creator version are you using? Did you install Qt using an installer or rather you are using packages provided by Debian?
