Compile 5.8 for XP

Hello,
so far I compiled Qt using MSVC 2015 for deploy on Windows XP and newer with configure option -target xp. However, it seems it has been removed in 5.8.0 beta and I can't find its alternative.

Does anyone know what -target xp does so I can do the same by hand? Or do you know about any alternative?

Hi and welcome to devnet,

The support for Windows XP was dropped with 5.7. If you still want to build for XP stay with the LTS.

Ah I see, I probably missed that, sorry. Well, and is it possible to compile at least for Windows 7 using Windows 10 and MSVC 2015?
