Unsolved QML WebView Deployment
-
Hello,
I've just realized that for deployment of Qt minibrowser example (simple webbrowser using QtWebView) I need to manually add QtWebEngine directory with qtwebengineplugin.dll to the windeployqt or macdeployqt output, otherwise the app quits immediately after start with message
QQmlComponent: Component is not ready
QObject::connect: invalid null parameter
QObject::connect: invalid null parameter
QObject::connect: invalid null parameter
QObject::connect: invalid null parameter
The program has unexpectedly finished.It happens on Win10 and Mac, Qt 5.7
Does it mean that the application uses QtWebEngine instead of QtWebView?
There is the line QtWebView::initialize(); in cpp and WebView{} in QML so the app should use native APIs instead of full browser, right? As stated here:
http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtwebview-index.htmlI want to submit the app to the AppStore so I want to be sure that it is not rejected because of the private API and using chromium browser
AppStore review guidelines:
2.5.6 Apps that browse the web must use the appropriate WebKit framework and WebKit Javascript.Thank you,
W.
