At first I tried to install Qt 5.7 using the .run online installer but canceled when downloading. The next time I opened the installer and tried again, it stuck when "Retrieving meta information from remote repository" at exactly 99%. I canceled it and tried another several times but each stuck at the same place. How can I solve this?

      Hi and welcome to devnet,

You might be hitting a faulty mirror.

You can use the QtSdkRepoChooser to use another mirror.

@SGaist Thank you for your reply. However I don't think this is where the trouble is. When "retrieving meta information from remote repository, it quickly riches 99% and nothing happen then. .....maybe I need to know how to clean up incomplete installation of qt...?

Another question is, as I couldn't install Qt, I cannot compile the repo chooser (

@SGaist .....or maybe the processbar is not the true process?

You don't have to build it. Go to the release page and grab the one that matches your platform.

Worst case, you can compile it with your distribution Qt.
