Unsolved Intel Atom E3827 + b2qt fail to startup
-
Hi guys,
I am testing b2qt pre-built image file "b2qt-embedded-qt5-image-intel-corei7-64.img" on my Intel Atom E3827 EVB and another regular desktop PC (Ivybridge+i7). There's no problem to boot the image from USB and startup the demo application on the i7 desktop. But it reboot in the booting process with my E3827 EVB.
If I change the grub command to force intel_idle.max_cstate=1, I can boot till a white screen pops. But it hangs since that.
Is there any tweak to make it work with E3827? Any inputs or suggestion are appreciated.

@HSLee Is there any other image available? The one you're using is built/optimized for Core i7, could be that it uses machine instructions not supported by Atom.

@jsulm Thank you for reply.
In my downloaded "Boot2Qt" directory there's only one image file for Intel SOC. From my experience of the regular Yocto build for Intel Atom E38xx, there's no much difference found in the recipe among different Intel platforms (valleyisland, sugarbay, crystalforest, etc..) Most of the platform specific setup by recipe are things like bsp configuration (HAVE_TOUCHSCREEN, HAVE_KEYBOARD). Currently I am rebuilding b2qt with older kernel 3.14 because I found newer kernel causes problems with E38xx/BayTrail. I'll post the result later. -
Still no luck with kernel 3.14
