      Hi,

Do you mean generate your own NSMenuItem or use QMenuBar and add QActions to it ?

@SGaist well, I'd like to write a layer between Qt and OS X, that has not been incorporated into Qt yet. Therefore I am wondering, if there is an easy way to obtain information and transform it into NSMenuItem...

@SGaist Not a layer in a true sense, but widgets and other platform dependent things.

Can you give examples of them ?

@SGaist (I actually wonder why...), because of NSToolbarItem - Apple Developer.

                Soo, is there any way?

Since what you want to achieve isn't really clear. You should take a look at mixing Qt with native code.

A look at the cocoa platform plugin might also be of interest.

@SGaist Well, to be honest, I'm not very satisfied with Qt GUI on OS X, so I am thinking of making native GUI and using only Qt as "data manipulator".

Can you give more details about what's not satisfying ?
