Hello, all. After installing Qt Creator 4.x on Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64-bit noticed that a file's initial opening has become very slow. Let's say a project is loaded and one double clicks on any given file in the project tree - one should wait for several seconds - ~13s! The same applies for opening a file in the Qt Creator's editor when using the Locate functionality ( Ctrl + K ) and the find functionality. Tried deleting the %APPDATA%\Roaming\QtProject before installing Qt Creator but didn't helped either. I think I previously found a topic on the case and a way to fix it but now I've lost it. Any ideas whether this is fixable or I should revert to using version 3.x?

      Hi,

You can try disabling the Clang code model to see if it improves things.

      Hope it helps

Actually it isn't turned on at all. It is not enabled as a plug-in when browsing the "Help" -> "About Plugins...". The only Clang-related feature that was enabled was the ClangStaticAnalyzer (not the ClangCodeModel). Turning it off didn't help.

Then I'd check the bug report system to see if there's already something about it.

One reason for QtCreator to be slow on windows are virus scanners. You could try to exclude your development directory from on-access scanning.
