I'm new to QtC. Code highlighting has worked well for me up until now, but I ran into a file in a codebase I'm working on and it's showing some very bizarre behavior.

    What could be causing this?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

I had similar issues with QtCreator 4.0.0. Upgrading to the latest version (4.0.2 right now) fixed those, though. You might want to update to the latest version.
In case of anybody else comes around with a fancy idea, it might be helpful if you let us know which operating system you are running QtCreator on.

Thanks! I've upgraded to 4.0.2 but the problem persists.. Is there some place where I can file a bugreport or anything else I could try?
I'm on win8.1 btw. Strangely enough it only seems to happen in files that have UI code.

You can find the official bug tracker for QtCreator here: https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTCREATORBUG/?selectedTab=com.atlassian.jira.jira-projects-plugin:summary-panel
You can use your existing Qt account to submit a bug report - no need to create a new account. It will simply ask you to link the account to Jira (the bug tracker).
