QTC 4.0.82 vs 4.0.1

I have QTC 4.0.82 installed ... are there any significant differences between 4.0.82 and 4.0.1 ? which one is more recent and which one do you recommend ?

I am a newbie, I just want to know if 4.0.82 is a more recent release than the 4.0.1.

That's not an official release.

Like the PPA description says: from the master branch so it should be more recent. However the numbering of the package name is something you should discuss with the PPA maintainer.

If you're a newbie, I'd recommend sticking with the official releases unless you are hitting a bug that has been solved on master.

@Maths .82 its usually master branch builds. To see what's get changed, you have to look at git logs. in Most cases, official build is enougth
