"Terminal example" doesn't receive data from usb-rs232 ftdi device

Hi,
I have RN42-EK BT demo board with FTDI device connected to USB port (virtual COM) of my PC (windows 7 64bit). If i use any terminal like PComm from Moxa full communication is possible. If I use "terminal example" I can only send data to external device - there is nothing to receive. If I use "normal" COM port of my PC everything is OK. Problem is only with FTDI.
What to do to receive data by "terminal example".PS. My QT creator 3.6.1 based on Qt 5.6.0 (MSVC 2013, 32 bit) version from March 14 2016.

Might be a silly question but did you ensure that you have all settings matching your device ? Does that device require additional signals like data terminal ready ?
